Knots 3D App Reviews

Ive never studied knots or needed to now how to use them, but this all-in-one guide makes me feel like I could master all of them. Not only is there an adjustable-speed video illustration of the knot being tied, you can proceed through the animation one step at a time. Explanations are also included for each knot in terms of why and when theyre useful--which is potentially the biggest help to me (someone who knows nothing about knots other than "I guess sailors use them?"). There are five color schemes to choose from in terms of text/background/icon etc.; Id prefer to create my own, but that would just be a luxury preference and certainly doesnt diminish the usefulness of this compilation when compared to doing a web search to find a knot.

Better than most books. Speaking from the perspective of climbing knots, you have to get into the absolutely esoteric before needing to go beyond the resource.

I like this app very much as it contains various kinds of knots and shows very simple ways of tying knots to understand me. Super!

It is a very useful app indeed. It has great visualization. Speed control is great. 3d rotation is interesting though was not necessary. Having said that these cool features alone must NOT be used to rate this app. This app MUST NOT be used as the only textbook on knots. Serious flaw of the app is, it does not show final tightening, dressing and the way the knot must look like after applying the load. We know that proper tightening and dressing of the knot seriously affects its reliability especially when rapid load may be applied to undressed and untightened knots. But still I find the app useful refresher course for those who know what they are doing. I especially like the Favorites feature. Another feature that would make it more useful is to list efficiency percentages for knots and to be able to sort knots by efficiency. Thank you!

I cannot say enough about this app. I have learned so many knots from this single app. The ability to slow down the speed limit is showing you how to tie any not is such a huge benefit. I didnt even know this many knots existed! Thank you.just doesnt seem like enough!

Simply a must have. All young men involved in outdoor sports should have this on their smartphone.

This is by far the best illustrated and easiest to follow knot tying app. However, in the past, I still had to have a couple of other apps because there were some knots that Knots 3D didnt have. This has all changed with the recent addition of many more knots listed in the app. Now Knots 3D is the only knot app I need and I have deleted the others.

This app is particularly helpful in all things fishing, hiking, and camping. Masterfully crafted and of a unique, beautiful, modern design.

I knew how to do some "sailor knots", but this app has them all & any kind of knot one may need in Life from sailor, trucking to Firefighters!! Thank-you "The Knot Folks" for doing such a Great job & the animated instructions are the best Ive found anywhere!!

As an Eagle Scout, I know that knot tying is a very important part of the list of innumerable Scout skills. For some it comes easy. For others, it is a skill that their brain cannot comprehend. This app is a very useful visual aid when teaching knots.

This app is awesome! Tons of useful knots. The animations are easy to follow, and being able to choose the speed of the animation is great! Love this app for camping and kayaking!
